• What if the key to finding joy in life’s chaos is only a creative spark of inspiration away?

This is the guided publication & community aimed at calming overactive thoughts and sparking your next creative adventure.
  •

  • Sometimes I get lost in my own head and lose my way creatively.

Oh wait, this happens too you too?
Maybe it looks a little something like this:
    There’s a tipping point when…
the chatter in your mind and agitation in your heart gets so loud that all you hear is frustration, exhaustion, or anxiety.
You realize the way you care for yourself must change.
But you don’t know how to care for you anymore when you’re so focused about caring for everyone else.

Spark Curiosity Lab Is Creative Self-Care

  • Each and every time I am stuck, I know creativity is the way through.
Having a guide on the creative path helps me forward.
Because when someone else is doing the creative thinking  for you, it allows your spinning mind space to rest.
It allows you to lay down your heavy mental load for a little while.

It’s a shift in focus where you wander down a different path and find YOU again.

How Do I Join?

For the Q2 cohort, I’m excited to announce something new I’ve been considering for a while… this round you can join the Spark! Curiosity Lab program on a “Pay What You Can” scale.

  • Supporter Rate: $90 (the standard retail price that sustains the program)

Standard Rate: $60 (the price to keep the program operational)

Access Rate: $30 (a reduced rate for those with limited resources)

Custom Amount: $___ (you enter any amount that works for your situation)

Why am I doing this? I believe creative self-care should be accessible to everyone, especially during times when we need it most. I’ve heard from many of you who are interested in the program but have different financial situations. The retail price for this program is $90, but for this session only, you can choose what you pay based on your circumstances. If you’re experiencing financial hardship but would benefit from this program, please select the ‘Custom Amount’ option and enter any amount that works for you—even if that’s $0. No questions asked.

- Teresa

SPARK! Curiosity Lab has been a game-changer for me. It helped me prioritize creative self-care and make space for reflection in the midst of a busy life. I love the encouragement, the community, and the practical tools like the ‘Take 10’ plan and ‘Write NOW’ prompts. Even the mantra ‘Present not perfect’ has stuck with me! I repeat it to myself often. If you’re thinking about joining, go for it. It’s truly an investment in yourself.

- Patty

As someone with a creative job, I struggled to make time for my own projects. SPARK! Curiosity Lab reminded me that I deserve this time, and that even 10 minutes of coloring in a waiting room counts. The monthly guides are filled with inspiring, nourishing ideas, and the community has helped me reignite my creativity and pick up old projects with fresh energy. It’s a beautiful, supportive space, and I’m so glad I joined.

- Torrey

I’ve always loved drawing, coloring, and doodling, but as an adult, it’s been hard to make time for creativity, even though I miss it. SPARK! Curiosity Lab reignited that love. It motivates and inspires me, and I’ve found the creative sprints and calls to be almost meditative. Doodling during our sessions has become a form of therapy for me. I’ve even started exploring pastels and acrylic paint pens again, and for the first time, I felt confident enough to share my art on social media!

- Stacey

At 56, finding something ‘delightful’ is truly high praise and this program is just that! With four kids who have flown the nest, I’d let my own creativity slip away over time. SPARK! Curiosity Lab helped me rediscover the joy of imagination through painting, journaling, and creating just for fun. It’s given me space to play, explore, and enjoy the process without worrying about perfection. I’ve had creative breakthroughs simply by allowing myself to be present in the moment. It’s a winner for me, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Questions & Answers

I am not an artist and I don’t feel very creative. Is this for me?

Absolutely! Spark! Curiosity Lab is not just for artists—it’s for anyone who wants to explore creativity as a form of self-care and self-discovery. You don’t need any special skills, experience, or a studio full of supplies. If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or like your creative spark has faded, this space is designed to help you reconnect with curiosity, play, and simple creative practices that feel good. It’s about the process, not perfection.

What are some examples of the creative projects you have done in the past? Do I need a lot of supplies?

Spark! Curiosity Lab is all about using what you have and making creativity accessible. Past projects have included:

  • Photography prompts to see the world in a new way (yes, your phone camera is just fine!).
  • Doodling and zentangle-style drawing as a relaxing creative break.
  • Simple journaling exercises that spark self-reflection and new ideas.
  • Collage and vision boards to bring creative dreams to life.
  • Gratitude and affirmation cards to share with yourself or others.

You don’t need a lot of supplies, most projects can be done with things you already have like a notebook, pens, markers, or your phone’s camera. Creativity isn’t about having the perfect tools; it’s about giving yourself the space to explore and play!

How much time does the program require?

Most members spend about 1-2 hours per week engaging with the materials, but it’s completely self-paced. You can do more when you have time and less when life gets busy.

Is SPARK! Curiosity Lab only virtual? I live locally and would rather create in person at your studio.

SPARK! Curiosity Lab is a fully virtual program—and that’s actually part of the magic. The monthly guidebooks are designed to be explored on your own time, even offline if you’d like. And the virtual format makes it possible to connect with creative women from all over, without needing to be in a certain place at a certain time.

That said, I totally get the pull to create in person—especially if you live nearby! Our SPARK! Open Studio sessions are a separate offering designed for just that: in-person time to play, explore materials, and connect face-to-face. A lot of local folks choose to do both—joining the Curiosity Lab for inspiration, structure, and community, and then adding in Open Studio time when they want to gather in real life.

Since the Lab is currently “Pay What You Can,” you’re always welcome to try it out at a level that feels right for you and see how it complements your in-person creative time.

How does “Pay What You Can” actually work?

When you click to register, you’ll see these suggested payment tiers:
Supporter Rate: $90 (the standard retail price that sustains the program)
Standard Rate: $60 (the price to keep the program operational)
Access Rate: $30 (subsidized rate for those with limited resources)
Custom Amount: $___ (you can enter any amount that works for your situation)

What if I can’t afford any payment right now?

I believe creative self-care should be accessible to everyone. If you’re experiencing financial hardship, you can select the “Custom Amount” option and enter any amount that works for your situation, even if that’s $0. No questions asked.
